Also we prefer you to leave your hard drive in your PS3 so when we test the machine we can assure that EVERYTHING is working properly. If its a CPU or GPU problem then we remove the heat sinks and clean off the old thermal grease. We then reseat the CPU and the GPU by using a Solder Rework/Reflow System. Small heat sinks are added to the memory chips and to the coGPU chip. We apply new thermal compound and replace your heat sinks with our heat sinks. We Polish the bottom of all our heat sinks to insure the flattest surfaces to keep the CPU and GPU as cool as possible. When we reattach the heat sinks we use our own hardware to replace M$'s crappy x-clamp setup. We then extend the size of the fan shroud to direct all of the air flow from the rear fans all the way thru the fins on the heat sinks. The more air that flows all the way throw the fins the better the heat sinks are going to cool the processors. And last but not least, WE DO A 12 VOLT FAN MOD ON EVERY SYSTEM. The only downfall from this is it makes the system a bit louder BUT this is the BEST way to keep your XBox cool and to prevent future problems The steps we take in repairing PS3's are as followed: We tare down every console and do a complete dust cleanout.
